Charity ‘Oscars’

Last night saw months of hard work come to fruition in the shape of the BIG10 Awards, which we help organise on behalf of the Partnership Council charity in Nottingham.

Posters were put up, balloons were inflated, champagne was chilled and guests were welcomed as the 10 winners were announced and presented with special certificates and glass trophies.

As well as designing everything needed for an awards night  including invites, balloons, trophies and posters, we also help the charity by inviting special guests to present the awards and by making sure the awards get plenty of coverage before and after the event in the local media.

What was great about the awards is seeing local people being recognised for all the hard work they do – including young people, older people, families, community groups and volunteers.

For instance, one table included the Deputy Mayor of Nottingham, a 76 year old volunteer and his wife and the Deputy Editor of a national magazine – it’s great to bring everyone together in this way and give volunteers a special night that hopefully they’ll remember for a long time to come.
