Business Link Course
When we saw Business Link we’re running a seminar called ‘Marketing for Cash Strapped Times’ we thought it would be good to go along and see if we could learn anything new on behalf of our clients.
We’ve always worked very hard to make sure we provide ideas which are cost-effective and make good use of people’s budgets, but naturally this is something which has been even more vital this year, given the recession.
Most of the people attending the seminar were small to medium businesses, from plumbers and HR consultants to a range of companies from sectors including healthcare and IT. For those who were looking for an introduction to marketing the seminar would have been pretty useful, as it covered everything from logo design to search engine optimisation.
However, it missed or skipped over many of the things that really do offer people valuable marketing opportunities in these cash-strapped times, including free online software such as Wordpress and MailChimp, blogs, social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and also digital printing, to name just a few.
All in all it was a very interesting experience.
